    Product Description

The Little Guy loom is the smallest loom we make that accommodates both bead and tapestry weaving. It’s small, it’s sturdy, it’s portable and it includes the shedding device and a variety of warp coils. Weave a small format tapestry on it or a bracelet. Anything is possible with the only restriction being size. When deciding between this loom as the Big Sister, your only consideration should be: what is the largest piece I will want to weave on this loom? Keep in mind that you can weave two thinner pieces on this loom. What fun is that: watching two pieces progress at the same time without the frustration of wanting to get that old piece off the loom so you can start on your next idea.

A bunch of our accessories are available for this loom including the loom extenders, which will give you enough height to turn this into a belt loom or for trying your hand at inkle weaving. Our smallest tapestry/bead loom opens up so many possibilities for someone who wants to explore both bead weaving using the shedding device (or not . . . You do not have to use the shedding device with this loom even though it is part of the loom package) and/or tapestry weaving. It is also the most portable tapestry loom available in this world. It stands at a table or works just perfectly lying in your lap. We kind of think of it as our iPad loom! Put down your knitting a try something new!

Included: Four coils: 8, 12, 14, 18 dents, shedding device and handle, two wooden clips, warping bar, flat wrench, Allen wrench, coil bar and written instructions

    Stats: Weight: 5 lbs Width: 12″ Height: 11 1/2″ – 17 1/2″  Makes a piece:  9″ x 24″

    Recommended Materials and Accessories:
You don’t need anything except heddles, beads, thread, a bead mat, pair of scissors and a needle to get started with this loom.

Accessories: You need heddles to use the shedding device. You can either buy them or make your own (click the heddles tab for more information). You may want the No Warp-Ends Kit for easy bead pieces or the Bottom Spring Kit with warp coils for wider pieces. If you’re interested in making long pieces, loom extenders add two feet of weaving length to the 12″ loom. If you want some extra space between your front and back warp threads, the Add-On Bottom Beam is a great addition.
Kits: Try one of our great bead kits like the Jewel Cuff Bracelet Kit or combine beads and fiber with our fantastic Tapestry/Bead Cuff Bracelet Kit.
Beads: Have some fun experimenting with our Mirrix Blend Bead Soup.
Fiber: Splurge on some gorgeous hand-painted silk.
Thread: We love C-Lon! Try our C-Lon Color Mixes for some variety. C-Lon Cord makes a great warp for fiber and bead combination.
Extras: If you’re interested in tapestry weaving, you’ll want a Tapestry Beater (or, use a fork).
Classes: Craftartedu.com Wrap Bracelet ClassCraftsy Tapestry/Bead Cuff Bracelet Class

Note: This loom comes with updated clips that are slightly different than those shown in our instructions. Learn about the improvements (and how to secure the clips to your loom) here: http://www.mirrixlooms.com/new-clip-design/

This is a great loom for portability and it’s functional design. It is lightweight enough to carry from room to room yet sturdy and well constructed. I love the upright feature for allowing my neck and body posture to remain in alignment allowing me more comfortable looming. In addition it has many dent sizes which allows for a variety of tapestry, fiber and bead work.

The perfect starter loom. Easy to warp with ample shed. Great accessories available. Create tapestry and bead weavings with or without shedding device. Very portable and light weight. Fits in most tote bags. Most importantly, OUTSTANDING Mirrix Loom customer support. 100% American made Mirrix Looms always stand by the quality of their products.

This is the first loom I purchased from Mirrix. I actually was fortunate enough to tour the facility that makes them and hand picked my baby. The people that work there could not have been nicer. I have had so much fun with this loom. It is a forever piece…..a true work of art. Hands down the best looms made.

I absolutely adore my Little Guy loom!
Perfect in size, not too small but small enough to be able to take it along.
It is very easy to use, even for a complete beginner; with all the instructions provided by the website and the blog it is seriously easy to start creating gorgeous pieces of work right from the get go.
The loom itself is very practical and easy to work with, it is a breeze to warp and I love that it is versatile; being able to use it as a beading loom AND a tapestry loom makes it extra interesting.
      I *heart* Mirrix!

I have had my Little Guy for just over a week. I love it! I am weaving on it every day. I have great big floor looms and wanted to try small works and experimenting with tapestry. This little loom has been perfect for me! It’s so sturdy and well made. And the support info on the website and facebook group has been really wonderful. I love this little loom and I’m really loving tapestry!

I just received my Little Guy and it is wonderful. I had two Mirrix looms in the past. I (stupidly) sold them when I wasn’t weaving for a short time…but I missed them too much. This Little Guy is even nicer than my originals because it has hardwood pieces to hold the shedding device/warping bar. They seem nicer and more solid than the black plastic ones on my first Mirrix looms. These looms are outstanding and the service/support is terrific. I’ll have to add another one soon.

🙂 I knew while it was still in the box that I’d made the right choice, it’s got just enough weight to feel stable, but it’s easy to grab and move around. Warping it is a whole new set of skills to learn for me, but I still got it done, the heddles cut and the shedding bar in place in far less time than I’d budgeted. I need to learn to weave kind of from scratch again – but I can’t imagine a better thing to learn on : )
