38″ Zeus Loom
38″ Zeus Loom
Designed to accommodate a small traditionally sized rug (35 by 40 inches), our largest loom can easily be moved from room to room or driven to a workshop while providing a weaving space usually reserved for large, heavy, immobile floor looms. And unlike his larger cousins, the Zeus Loom can easily be stored when not in use because of his slim Mirrix physique. You won’t have to devote an entire day to warping The Zeus Loom as you would a Navajo loom of similar size. Warping the entire width of the loom will take no more than an hour once you’ve nailed the prjocess down. He also provides better tension than most wooden floor looms and the shedding device is easy and efficient to operate.
Paired with a Mirrix Loom Stand and a Spencer Treadle, the Zeus Loom becomes a floor loom for a fraction of a floor loom’s cost and a way smaller foot print. You don’t have to fill up our entire weaving space to have a loom that produces large rugs or tapestries. He takes only seconds to put on or take off the stand. The treadle attaches and unattaches just as easily so you can easily dismantle the floor loom-like set up and just take your with you.

Recommended Materials and Accessories:
You don’t need anything except heddles, beads, thread, a bead mat, pair of scissors and a needle to get started with this loom.
Accessories: You need heddles to use the shedding device. You can either buy them or make your own (click the heddles tab for more information). You may want the Extra Warping Bar Kit to save warp thread or the Bottom Spring Kit with warp coils for wider pieces. If you want some extra space between your front and back warp threads, the Add-On Bottom Beam is a great addition.
Kits: Try one of our great bead kits like the Beaded Purse Kit, combine beads and fiber with our fantastic Tapestry/Bead Cuff Bracelet Kit or make a gorgeous eyeglass case with our Eccentric Wefts Eyeglass Case.
Beads: Have some fun experimenting with our Mirrix Blend Bead Soup.
Fiber: Splurge on some gorgeous hand-painted silk.
Thread: We love C-Lon! Try our C-Lon Color Mixes for some variety. C-Lon Cord makes a great warp for fiber and bead combination.
