What’s a Weave-Along?

A weave-along is a FREE online course. Claudia Chase and Elena Zuyok of Mirrix Looms will lead participants through a project woven on a loom. Every Sunday participants will get an email going over what had been worked on the week before and giving instructions and tips for the week ahead. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and engage with other members of the weave-along via email and social media sites including the Mirrix Facebook PageMirrix Facebook Group and Mirrix Ravelry Page. This is a community event!

Please note you must be using a genuine Mirrix Loom to participate in these Mirrix-sponsored events.

If you are interested in participating in any Mirrix weave-along, email elena@mirrixlooms.com for more information.

Weave-Along 19: Textural Tapestry

For our 19th Weave-Along we are excited to be weaving a small textural tapestry wall-hanging!

This weave-along will teach how to set-up and warp a Mirrix Loom, some basic concepts of tapestry weaving, a few fundamental tapestry techniques and how to finish a wall-hanging. This will be a fun, free-form project perfect for beginning weavers or those looking to experiment with textures in tapestry.

We are very excited to be partnering with Weaving Works in Seattle, WA for this event. You will be able to purchase the yarn we are using from them (either online or in person) and we will be doing an in-person meet-up at the Weaving Works store to launch the weave-along. If you are in the Seattle area, we’d love for you to join us!
