Mini Mirrix

The Question:
Why do you want a Mirrix Loom?  What have you heard or experienced about our looms that makes you want one? What would you use it for? What is your favorite feature on a Mirrix Loom? Are you already a Mirrix owner or is this your first one? Be creative and share the love!

The Poll:
Vote for your favorite answer below (scroll to choose the name of the person you're voting for at the bottle of this page)!

Just a paragraph stating why I want (need) a MIrrix Loom? I see all the beautiful projects everyone makes on the loom; the beauty of the loom; you can do beading and fiber (Nirvana) on the loom; and the most important fact is my heart sings when I look at the loom. If I had a MIrrix Loom I would not be sitting here on my computer, I would be sitting in front of my MIrrix.

Hariamrit Khalsa

I want the Mirrix loom to do bead weaving. I have tried to use other types of looms but want a Mirrix because it would make weaving the beads easier and I want to avoid problems with the final weaving. The Mini Mirrix a great portable size so I can carry it on trips. And Mirrix Looms are known to be engineered to last for years so I only have to buy once.

When I was 'window' shopping for a Mirrix bead loom and saw this opportunity to win the Mini Mirrix, I was so excited. Professionalism in my former career as a couture seamstress meant everything to me and I worked very hard throughout the years of that career to hone my skills. Quality tools make the difference. I had 'penny jars' for everything – the best needles, the best thread, the best sewing machine. Bit by bit and with a dedicated work ethic, I earned them all. When my children graduated college and became successful, I was finally able to do what I'd always longed to do…change career paths to become a full time accessories artist – jewelry and handbags – again high quality one-of-a-kinds or very limiteds. In my search for the best, I found Mirrix Looms and began another penny jar! I am looking forward to the day when one graces my worktable.

I have to admit, I have a Mirrix Loom. And I love it. Which leads me to why I want to win the lovely mini loom. My daughter is a special education teacher who works with autistic children. How wonderful for her to have a mini loom to show her students how to weave. Wonderful for hand-eye coordination, relaxation, pure joy of creating art, teaching colors, counting, and patience.
I so hope I win this little beauty to share such beauty with others.

A Mirrix loom so small and tidy
Makes me feel so all-righty
All shiny copper and pretty chrome
It needs to come live in my home.

A Mirrix loom just looks so fine,
It won't warp when I spill wine.
And it will stay all pretty and neat,
Impervious to sticky lil' cat feet.

A Mirrix loom would sit on my desk
And not care I look grotesque
As I weave and bead and play all day
Long past the Mayan doomsday.

Pets, wine, paint and goo
Pizza, wings, pasta, Ragout
Time, long use, gloom and doom
Nothing hurts the Mirrix loom.

Please, O' Goddess of Mirrix Looms
Place a Mirrix in all my rooms
So I might make fine works of weave
'Cause the Goddess of Poetry made me leave.

When I first learned to do loomed beadwork, back in my early twenties, the only looms available were the cheap aluminum ones or the slightly better quality adjustable wooden looms carried in hobby stores. I had no idea there was anything better out there, and couldn't have afforded it f I had! I came across Mirrix years later while browsing a bead catalog and fell deeply, irrevocably in love. It took still more years before I finally bought my 16" Big Sister. Now my seven-year-old daughter has expressed an interest both in beading and weaving, and as a parent, beader and weaver, I'd like her to start out with the very best from the beginning, and bring her as much enjoyment from spending time with Mommy as she can get!

I have been subscribing to your newsletter for quite a long time now and enjoy it very much. Have ordered from you also and now, am really wanting the 5" mirrix loom badly. I went to a tapestry workshop in October with Rebecca Mezoff and quite a number of the gals had the mirrix in many widths. I like the control to change sheds very much. As to what I would weave? Of course beaded bracelets and necklaces. I would also weave tapestries on it. I really love your product. We are retired now and if I win this, I would covet it. Thanks very much for doing this.

I am a descendent of the First Nations, the first people to inhabit the Americas. Though I learned many beading methods and rudimentary silversmithing when I was still young, I was not able to learn any of the weaving methods that utilized the loom. When I became older, I began to take classes to learn many of the newer skills in jewelry making, such as chain maille, and beading methods that we did not use ourselves, as well as more advanced silversmithing techniques. But as I always remembered my grandmothers weaving rugs on their looms, I was always fascinated with the idea of weaving beads on the loom. I saw the Mirrix Loom at a show that I attended. It looked far superior to the simple wooden loom that I had bought and had limited experience with using. I would like to use the Mirix Loom to weave some of the traditional patterns that we have in our culture, but also to extend them, expand them, make them perhaps more modern and more relevant to the modern world we live in. The images of the past are still relevant, but in a different way, and that is what I would weave into my bead patterns.

I am Susan, aged 54 (55 on January 3rd) and winning a Mirrex loom would be a great start to the New Year.

This past year has been really tough, in February I lost a very good friend aged 46, then an aunt died aged 76, then two other acquaintances died, followed by the fathers of two other friends.

On the other hand I have been helping a group of elderly residents at a facility here in the UK with craftwork on a Thursday afternoon as part of a community services project, enabled a lot of other people to follow crafts by teaching them how to weave, knit and crochet.

Financially I have had almost no income other than our Jobseekers Allowance of about $200 a fortnight, from which I have to pay bills, get food, clothing and pay for fares for jobhunting (but due to age there seems to be nothing available).

I've also passed an Ethnicity and Diversity course and am now enrolled on a Customer Services course, both to prove to prospective employers I still am able to learn, use IT at a reasonable level and still have an active brain.

Hopefully people will vote for me and I can use this loom to make bracelets for some of the residents of the home and for other less active people.

I have just recently joined the Mirrix Community. I bought a 12" Little Guy and a friend who is a weaver helped me set him up. What a fun afternoon we had! I have been doing off-loom beadweaving for about 10 years. But I'm also a lover to all things textile. All those eye-catching silks, hand-dyed colours, and novelty fibers are so tactile. To me the Mirrix is a marriage between beads and fiber - with no disagreements! The shedding device on my Little Guy is my favourite thing - it makes life so much easier. I also love how simply beautiful these looms are all by themselves. I'd love to win a mini loom so I could create on the go. I bought the larger size as I felt it was more versatile for what I hope to accomplish with it, but the mini is on my wish list because I could bead on the train, in the car, (as a passenger only), on the dock at the cottage, and my other happy places.

Thanks,
Mary Waterson

I have been making bead bracelets and belts on a small cheap bead loom since I was a teenager and now I am teaching my granddaughter how to make them. I even have some of the beads from way back then. So it would be great to win a mirrix. Then we could have a new one to work with. I am disabled so I live on a budget and I just can't buy a new one right now. I think it is very important to pass down crafts to children and grandchildren so that they don't die out. And my granddaughter has caught on real fast even though she is only six. So you see I would really love to win this giveaway!

I have many reasons that I would like to win a Mirrix. I am starting to bead weave and have read and researched this issue and drawn the conclusion that Mirrix makes the best travel looms (and the best looms in their sizes). Many reviews have commented that Mirrix makes well designed, well built units that have flexibility and that there is excellent customer support. There are also numerous videos on how to use the Mirrix. Initially, I want to use the Mirrix to make bracelets as this would be my first Mirrix. I really am drawn to the Mini Mirrix because I need to be able to stop bead work immediately and resume it when able, due to my husband's health issues. I find that beading is very calming and I enjoy bead weaving. I like the fact that this size of Mirrix is great for traveling.

Thank you

Crystal Thain

I recently moved back to my home state and have reconnected with family. My aunt invited me over one night to join in "beading night" with her and her daughter in law. After that first night, I was hooked. We have been beading almost every night since then and we recently purchased inexpensive wooden looms to try our hand at them. It seems that I have a knack for the loom and I have had so fun fun coming up with ideas and designs. The problem with my cheaper loom is that the wingnuts will not stay tight and I am constantly having to wind and tighten them. I have never owned one of your looms, but I was told great things about them. I had no idea about the contest until I came accross it when I Googled Mirrix looms. I would love to win so that I can continue to learn without the frustration the one I have now causes me and because my aunt would be so jealous. :)

Ask not where you can take your loom but where your loom can take you! A 5" Mini Mirrix would be the perfect size to throw in your bag for use while traveling or working on smaller projects. It's just as easily worked with on a crowded plane as on a beautiful beach in Bali. I currently have a wonderful Little Guy Mirrix and can speak to its quality and durability. It's my favorite of all the ones I've tried and excellent for beading on my lap or standing up on a table for a change of pace. The Mirrix is a wonderful loom for creating equally wonderful works of art.

I would LOVE the opportunity to win a Mirrix loom for our county's 4H program. My goal in entering this contest is not for my personal benefit (although I would admittedly be the first to jump for joy!), but for the youth in our county's 4H program. This loom would be used in several workshops that would teach our 4H youth bead weaving and other tapestry weaving techniques. It has been my continued goal to bring fiber arts education to our youth and I teach several workshops each year on weaving, drop spindling, felting. I would love to introduce bead weaving and tapestry.

If selected, our Mirrix loom would be used for workshops and then available for youth to check-out from our county extension office. Our goal is to apply for grant funding to purchase more Mirrix looms as interest in bead/tapestry weaving expands. I have read rave reviews about Mirrix looms and know that quality equipment makes all the difference in terms of project success. Without project success, it is hard to keep youth interested.

Many of our 4H youth would not be able to purchase a loom for themselves, but having access to great equipment for check out would extend learning beyond the workshop and allow our youth to create amazing pieces for both county and state fairs. Once the youth master the skills, my goal would then be to have our youth teach their skills to the larger community. We would LOVE to share the LOVE of Mirrix through 4H.

Thank you for any and all votes. This loom would be put to great use through many hands!

I love my "Big Sister" loom, but it often has a project on it whenI get "inspired." I would love to have a small loom for those quick projects I want to make now, not later. Mirrix looms are so well made, not like the plastic or wire ones you find in craft stores. I have one of those and, though I have have used it for a bracelet once in a while, I have always been disappointed with the extra time it takes me to get the correct tension. The finished product is always better on a Mirrix!

Judy Oswood

I am currently a weaver and also a do some beading. I would like to be able to merge these interest. Also, since I seem to be on the road a lot, I think this loom would be able to travel with me. I do not currently own a Mirrix Loom and would love to have one.

A Mini Mirrix! Dreams can come true, so I will dream about a loom I have long coveted.
Mirrix looms are a beautiful illustration of the blend of form and function, and many of my friends, as well as reviews, have pointed out that Mirrix is a company that designs well built looms and provides excellent customer support.

I am a tapestry weaver and focus on small format pieces, which are limited to a total of 10"x 10", variations of that amount, or even smaller. There are exhibitions of "post card" size tapestries that have incredible detail and color blending techniques. I would be able to weave that small size on the Mini, as well as trying techniques and ideas I have for small format pieces, without just weaving them on the copper pipe loom I currently have, and hope they work. Unfortunately, what is possible in larger pieces in not always possible in a small format form. The Mirrix shedding device would make weaving so much easier. With my copper pipe loom, I have to use a "pick" method.

Small format tapestry weaving can be complicated, but it is, without doubt, contemplative. I am immediately immersed into a world that leaves worries and stress behind, and float into the world of creativity, design, texture and color. For the last two years, I have entered several exhibitions and shows (and to my surprise), been juried in. I feel I am ready for the next step of learning a more concentrated skill set that is needed to elevate my work to a "professional" status. The Mini Mirrix would start me on a very important part of my journey in tapestry weaving.

I am a dedicated Mirrix customer who would love to win a second loom. If I were to win I would gift the loom to my granddaughter Kassie. While staying with us this summer, Kassie learned to make a bracelet
on my Mirrix. She made a darling bracelet for her sister's 18th birthday. Kassie, who is 15, is very talented with most crafts. We began sewing together when she was just a mite. She now lives in Vancouver, BC so I do not see her often. It is such fun when we can get together and learn a new craft. I know she would spend many hours
enjoying her Mirrix and would soon be much better at weaving than her Grandma. This is one loom that would keep on giving for generations.

Thank you for the opportunity to enter.

Winning a Mirrix loom would keep me from drooling on my keyboard whenever I read about a bead-a-longs using the loom; or whenever I read about another blogger who has had incredible results using one of the looms. I have been working with beads for some time now and have always wanted to learn beadweaving, but hesitate using anything but a Mirrix loom to learn on. Thank you

Donna Markle

I would love to win a 5" mini Mirrix loom because years ago I did own one. My husband was hurt in a ladder accident and at the time our 6 children were living with us. We need the money as he was out of work and my 6th one was only 2 weeks old. Well I sold everything and anything that I knew we could get good money for so off went one of my floor looms, a spinning wheel and the Mirrix loom. I have been wanting one ever since. It would be great to win one of the mini ones as then I could take it with me to guild meetings and doctor visits. Thank you for reading this and good luck to everyone who has enter. I read some of the other ones and believe many more need to win one of these they were all good.

Laura Arena

I would love to win one of these. I am enrolled in a bead weaving/tapestry on-line class and I would like to have a good loom to learn on. The cost makes it prohibitive to buy one but I really would like to learn this skill on a solid and well-respected brand-name loom. One can make such pretty pieces on a loom and I feel that my learning experience would be much smoother if I were able to use this one.

Erin Buxton

Right now I do my loom beading on a homemade loom that includes unfinished wood, a dowel, and some duct tape. I have recently read about the Mirrix loom and I'm fascinated. I teach beadwork and I've offered to do a loom beading class at the local weaving center. These are women who take weaving very seriously and my homemade loom will certainly raise a few eyebrows. If I had your loom to show off I'm sure I could win you a couple more customers. I also demonstrate beading techniques at my local bead society's annual "Tips & Tricks" meeting. That would be another great place to show your loom off.

Thanks for the chance,
Karen Ringen

Hi. I am a 53 year old grandmother of 5 and I am disabled. When it came to the point where I could no longer work I got very depressed. I felt so useless. Then my sister-in-law started teaching me how to make jewelry. Soon I was going to classes with her. It has made such a difference in my life. My beading instructor gave me some books that showed how to make so many beautiful things with a loom. I've looked at looms but if I get one I'd prefer to invest in a good one like Mirrix looms. Living on a fixed income makes it hard to splurge so it is on my wish list! I may be limited as to what I can do but my hands still work. I would love to have a Mirrix loom to make beautiful gifts for friends and family. Thank you for the opportunity to enter your contest!

Sincerely,
Lori O'Toole

Mirrix is the best. I only buy the best.

Susan McHenry

I'd love to win the Mirrix loom because I'm disabled, homebound and love playing with beads!
My husband loomed a replica of a prayer rug in size 11 seed beads (on an old loom), and I would love to do one!
Mirrix looks like a great product!
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Thanks
Marilyn DiPalma

For sometime now I have wanted to begin weaving. I have made Jewelry through the years and in the last 8 months I have developed designs that require a loom. After purchasing from Craftsy. com the class on weaving I decided this is something I would love to do. Watching the use of the Mirrix Loom was very important for learning and the Mirrix is what I would love to have. If I can master it I will then begin to teach some children how to use it. I can hardly wait.

Thank you
Ginny Hoge

Mirrix Looms have the best reputation for an easy to use loom. Margie Deeb often mentions them in her newsletter and she really got me interested. I want to ask Santa for one, but again this year it's not a good one to ask. Over the past four years, my husband has had two layoffs, both in the newspaper business. He's employed now, but very 'underemployed.' Unfortunately, I am disabled with a connective tissue disorder, so I am not able to help very much. I do make many of our family gifts with beads and fibers. A Mirrix Loom would certainly be fun to work on and be easier on my hands than the beadweaving I do now. Thank you so much for considering my entry.

Helen Langhorne

I have been beading for a long time, but have only tried looming once, and it was a loop stitch, not the regular kind at all. I am on a forum that includes Erin Simonetti, and from time to time she posts absolutely gorgeous loomed work. She has a group that encourages loomwork, and I would like to join so I can learn to do the fabulous things she does. If I won this loom, it would be a sign that it is time for me to go for it!

Thanks for the opportunity.
Sincerely,
Carole Carlson

While I am a beginner at beading; I am an experienced artist and bookbinder by trade. I have been an artist all of my life having learned to do calligraphy in Grade School and picking up seed beads and nails and wood to put together a make-shift loom while out of town camping. While researching looms it became quite apparent to me that the Mirrix looms were the "Cadillac" of beading looms. I have spent many hours longingly looking at the different Mirrix looms and wishing that I as a disabled middle age woman would be able to afford such a device of beauty. After studying all of the features of the Mirrix looms, I know in my heart that it would be so ergonomic for me to bead on. That would have to be the feature that is my favorite since I do have a bad back and walk with a walker. I have worked hard to be able to obtain most of the tools of the trade of beading at sales and at a discount. Unfortunately I am still lacking the one loom that would allow me to bead for longer periods of time. I also believe that the bracelets I make to sell would be made so much faster and easier since I would not have any warp threads to weave in. Being a type A over-achiever I often find myself bringing my beading and beading books to my various appointments. It can become a bit unwieldy and to much for me to carry at times and I am forced to leave them at home. However with the portable Lorelei Mirrix loom, I know I would be able to take it with me everywhere that would also allow me to complete more items to sell. Winning a Mirrix loom would really be a highlight of my holidays and a boost towards my beading. I would like to sell my creations and winning my first Mirrix would be a positive step towards helping me realize my artistic dreams.

Thank you so much for this fantastic opportunity!
Michelle McKee

I come from a long line of crafters and have always made things with my hands. Although I'm not working now, I'm grateful that with my disability I was able to work until I recently lost my job. Since then, I've been determined to fulfill my longtime dream of creating beaded tapestries and jewelry. I thought I'd need to build a loom because I didn't think a quality large loom for beading had been manufactured. Then when I found Mirrix and saw the looms, it felt like all the air had been sucked right out of me. Those of you who've been searching for a loom and found Mirrix must know what I mean! The frosting on the cake was seeing that Mirrix looms are made in the good old USA and in today's economy we all need to look for that MADE IN THE USA tag! After perusing the Mirrix website, I saw the option to use the shedding device on beaded work! I'd always imagined bead weaving the old way. Even more excited, I knew somehow, someway, I'd eventually get a Mirrix loom. So when I found a computer program for creating beaded tapestry designs I got it and have already created several designs I can't wait to loom. So I am ready!

Since I do not own a Mirrix, I can't decide whether I would utilize the price free mini Mirix toward a larger loom or keep the mini as a traveling loom. What I delightful dilemma that would be.

Thank you for this opportunity
Cheryl Beaton

Oh how I would like to have one of these looms. I have tried other looms and get so frustrated trying to use them. I would love to be able to loom without all the ends having to be woven back in. I know I would do a lot of bracelets, probably some small amulets and some necklaces. Now I am doing peyote stitch for everything and I feel sure the loom would be quite a bit faster.

Kathy Kee

I have had my eye on the Mirrax looms for so long........coveting them. Others just do not compare. I have so many patterns already saved and see so many other possibilities. But alas, without a loom, the patterns sit and wait. Without a bead store around me, the only loom I can find is the cheapy plastic things from Walmart.
My goal is to do some beaded tapestries. I would also like to find a way to incorporate beading into my Renaissance Faire outifits. I think that would look lucious!!
The loom would allow so many teaching possibilities as well. I teach crafts now and then at the local library--kids and adults could both learn on this loom. I would really like to introduce this to the special needs craft group. I know they could catch on and would be so proud of their accomplishment.
Please vote and help me win.

Theresa Kelly

I would like to win a Mirrix loom so that I could explore loom work more. I love off loom beadweaving, and have tried loomed beadweaving, but I am always discouraged by how obnoxious the cheap looms I have tried are to actually set up and use. Everything I have read and seen online about Mirrix looms indicates they are top of the line and a joy to work on. Since even the smaller ones are out of my price range, I would love the chance to win one. I would use the loom for making beaded bracelets and pendants.

Thank you.
Sarah Small

Hi I have entered the contest to win a mini Mirrix Loom.

I have been teaching myself stitches and hope to learn enough to start my own business.

I am am retired and on a limited budget. I work everyday on beading projects to learn and advance my ability.

With a loom I will be able to continue my development and have a larger inventory to sell.

I do hope I am the one who wiins.

To Whom Ever Reads This,
I love to beading bracelets and necklaces and this little traveler would make it easy for me to take it with me anywhere. Please I have always dreamed of owning a Mirrix's Loom, especially ever since I retired from teaching 3 years ago. It's the precision and ease that appeals to me. With other looms when I have moved them, I have lost the tension and this messes up what I am working on. My son built me a loom, but it is not easy to work with and tension is easily messed up. I have been trying to save for their tapestry loom. I would love to bead vests, pictures, and pillows... but family's needs (medical) keep getting in way. I still hold hope that someday God willing I will own one.

Thank you for this opportunity.

Sincerely
Judy Krueger

I've read a lot about the Mirrix Looms. I would very much like to win the 5" loom. I'M retired and on a fixed income and do a lot of hand beading. Since Mirrix Looms are the best there is I can't settle for anything less.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I have been a beader for a long time and have used small beading looms to do simple beadweaving on. But a few years ago I got reintroduce to crochet and was taught how to knit. Unfortunately for me I have not been able to grasp bead crochet and have wanted to combine my love of beads with my love of fibers. I would like a Mirrix loom because of an episode of Bead Bauble and Jewels I saw where a Mirrix loom was used to weave a bracelet with fibers and beads! WOW this is what I have been waiting for. So being on disability the saving process has been slow. This would be a great way to get a taste of the process.

Thanks so much for the opportunity.
Many Blessings thru the Holidays

I really would like to win one of these looms. I have never done any bead weaving or weaving, but would like to learn and winning one of these looms would help me to do so. I have done bead crocheting and have been crocheting and knitting for over 40 years. I would also like to try tapestry weaving. Your looms seem very impressive. I enjoy trying out different techniques and needle crafts. I have had an idea in the past combining crochet, embroidery and stained glass, but tapestry weaving and bead weaving might be something that could be included in one piece. I also have an autistic 34 yr old daughter who lives in a group home now who might like to learn how to do this, too. My husband is retired from the Air Force as well retired secondary and College German and Math teacher. I have been trying to teach him how to crochet and think that he might like to try his hand at weaving both fibers and beads. Since these looms are portable, I could easily bring these with me when we travel numerous times during the year when we vacation in South Padre Island. I could even do weaving by the seaside as I have done with knitting and crochet.

I bought a small weaving kit at an Indian Museum and was hooked. It is very fragile. I want to make bracelets and purses in victorian and 1920's designs .I love the era and would love to be able to make and sell these items. I find your site incredible and your looms and tutorials have been on my wish list for two years. I have been unemployed for 5 years and have not have the funds to be able to buy one. It would give me great joy to win.

Hi my name is Anna. I have been learning to bead weave for five months now. I want the mini Mirrix loom because I do not know how to bead on a loom and want to start learning so I think this item would be perfect for that. A family member of mine has told me that she owns a Mirrix loom and that it is the best to learn on and that I should try it! I would use the mini Mirrix loom to learn how to bead on a loom and I would make bracelets, necklaces, earings, or rings. I would love for the mini Mirrix loom to be my first loom. Thank you for the opportunity.

Why would I want a Mirrix Loom? First of all, who wouldn't! I have been eyeing a Mirrix Loom for at least two years. These looms are a work of engineering for the crafter! I have had many people tell me of the durability and quality of these looms are unsurpassed. I am not looking for a quick and simple toy, I am looking for a tool that will last through my grandchildren's lifetimes. (That is a long way off.) For me, a Mirrix Loom is a functional heirloom piece.

Mirrix Looms are also made for working with beads. Who wouldn't love pouring little beads over their fingers all day? I know I love it already and I only patiently do an off-loom square stitch! I love the split loom necklaces, purses and other accessories made on the loom. I have made some off the loom but find them incredibly time consuming. More so than what it would be with using a loom. In my search, I haven't found many dedicated bead looms that are user or travel friendly.

I am personally addicted to beads and would use my loom mostly for that purpose, however, I appreciate the versatility of a Mirrix Loom. My mother who is a knitter, has helped me come to appreciate the luxury of fibers. I can only imagine how spectacular it would be to run wool, cotton, alpaca or even silk through a Mirrix Loom. It would be a delight to be able to create placemats for my own home! I can imagine what fun texture certain novelty yarns might bring to the project. Some fuzzy, sparkly or bumpy.

As a young woman who loves doing things with my hands, a Mirrix Loom would allow my busy and travel heavy schedule to keep doing what I love. Creating. I honestly believe that with such a user friendly loom as my companion, the possibilities are only limited by my imagination.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity and your consideration.

Hi,I would love to win the 5"Mini Mirrix Loom. I've been doing beading and looming just under a year and I absolutely LOVE it. I try to make things that are modern with an "edge" look, for my twin daughter's who are 17 yrs old. They can't believe that I made some of the bracelets and necklaces that I've made for them, they said it looked "professional" well that just brought the biggest smile to my face for they are hard to please sometimes, lol.
If I won the Mirrix Loom I would make bracelets and necklaces that I've have seen but couldn't make with my old loom for it's so basic and limited, this Mirrix loom would present so many opportunities for me to try and expand my creativity that my old loom just couldn't do.
The 5' Mini Mirrix Loom has many functions other's looms just don't have!! You can make it wider, longer and it has no messy end threads to deal with!! This is just awesome, I would love to try it out!

Thank you,
Christine Parker

I would love to win a Mini Mirrix not for myself but for my sister. My sister has had the worst year and I am sure she is glad to see it come to an end. She was in the hospital starting with last Christmas and just was released in Sept. She has been a diabetic since childhood and most of her health issues stem from having it so long. She lost part of her right leg and now wears a prostetic device in place of her real leg. She is home bound until all the knicks are worked out with having this device in place of her real leg. She is usually a very happy person but lately that is not so. She is a creative person but as of late has not done anything and I am hoping maybe with winning the mini Mirrix loom she will continue to engrose herself in creating. Her well being is very important to me because I love her very much.

Yours,
Nancy E. Watts

I saw this contest posted on a craft group site. My dad died two years ago I never had much of relationship with him since then I have really enjoyed talking and spending time with my step mom and she has been teaching me beading I am really slow LOL no one else in my family does any sort or craft so I am pretty much alone in what I do except for her. To bad we could not had been closer years ago now that she is in very poor health I am not going to have many years left to enjoy spending time with her I would like to win this for her I can get mine later. I also need to be truthful I have never heard of this loom before but after looking at it win or not I will be getting one some day.

Thank You
Belinda Hart

Why I would love to win your loom. I have beaded on a loom and love it.. have always wanted
to learn weaving, but honestly didn't have a clue as to what kind of loom to use.
Reading your site... I want a Mirrix loom. it looks so easy and I see that I can bead loom
on it too.

Hope I win
Carol Hettenbach

I would be overjoyed to win a Mirrix. I have been beading for over 10 years but have yet to try doing loomwork. My friend is a wonderful beader and her loomwork is over the top! It would be great to be able to try my hand at the loom - and I have my friend available to help me over the rough spots. I am a senior citizen without much in the way of discretionary funds, so winning a Mirrix is just about the best way to get one! Thanks so much for the opportunity. Jeanne E

I would love to win a Mirrix loom! Why you ask? Well, I am an extreme beader. Not that I am a master beader or weaver, but my idle hobby has turned into a full blown
craft. I love to bead; the colors, textures, shapes, and sizes draw me in every time. Weaving with beads would be the ultimate beading experience! Combining fibers and beads
together to create unique wearable pieces is my goal. As a long time artist and craftswoman, I participate in several craft shows a year. I bring small projects to do in my booth
while people are milling about. If I win this Mirrix loom, I could take it with me to my shows and show my patrons the beauty and joy of weaving on a high quality American made loom.
A loom like this could take me from beads and beyond with a little imagination!

Sharon Bloom

I would LOVE to have this mini loom. I have always wanted to try bead weaving, even before I actually new that they were woven! I would see these lovely items and know I would love to make them, but didn't know where to begin! Then I saw a mirrix loom at my local yarn shop and, as a new weaver, fell in love. This is definitely on my wish list, so winning one would be wonderful! Thanks for the chance!

Renee Conner

I am so new to weaving but it all excites and inspires me to create beautiful items for myself and particularly for others. I am on a very limited income and just the opportunity to possibly be considered is fantastic. My goal in life is to create something beautiful for someone who is down on their luck, is ill and needs a lift, or depressed thinking that no one cares about them - I know that soinething handmade by someone given as a gift can inspire and lift those who are in the depths of despair for whatever reason - so to have a mirris loom would be a joy not only to myself but to others. Thank you for your generosity at this time.

Del Rae Gillett

Wow! What a fantastic looking piece of equipment. The Mini Mirrix Loom appears to be very well-constructed. Although I've never used a bead loom, it is something I'd love to learn. I can see many future embellishments for my hand-woven projects. Of course, any piece of jewelry, as gifts or projects would be a must.

Sandy Parkinson

I have been a bead weaver for over 10 years and currently own a very large loom. It would be wonderful to own a mini loom to take with me on our vacations and travels. I am planning to retire within a year and hope to
produce more jewelry to sell as a side income. This would be a great supplement to my tool box. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Aleta Drake

I would like to win the Mirrix Loreli because I have long wished I could have a small, good quality beading loom. I have wanted to try bead weaving for some time, but have been put off from trying it by the cost of investing in a loom I could trust to be more of a help than an object of frustration. In my mind, using quality equipment is as important to a process as using quality materials. I have done off-loom beadwork, weaving with a piece tacked to a board, and loved it, so moving up to working on a beading loom is the obvious next step. How I would love having a well-thought-out piece of equipment that would not only be versatile and work well, but that I would not grow out of as my skills increase, and as I move on to trying new, more advanced techniques! Yes, having the baby loom might only whet my appetite for a larger one, but I doubt I would ever outgrow it, or stop using it! Enough said. So nice of you folks to hold this contest, and I know you will make some person very happy---I just hope it might be me! :)

Margaret Black

I have been thinking about investing in a loom for some time now and have been researching and trying to come to a decision on a beginner loom, not to big, easily portable and stumbled on the Mirrix Mini Loom. It looks like it would be perfect to me. Portability is a big factor as I like to take my spinning and knitting to work and use my lunch hour to work on projects. The Mirrix Mini loom would allow me to do this. It would be exciting to me to create woven projects using some of my hand spun yarn. Everything I have read about the Mirrix looms tells me that these are high quality looms and owning one would be a real pleasure.

Sincerely,
Katy Moses

I wanted to enter the contest to win a Mirrix Beading Loom. I had a fire March 19, 2012 and lost all material and LeClerc Loom in my weaving room. I had two plastic beadiung looms that I had used for making bracelets and they were lost in the fire. We are almost ready to move back in before Christmas I hoipe. I saw the contest for your mini- loom and I thought I woulkd enter and see if I could change my luck. It would be nice to have a precision beading loom like the Mirrix and Im sure it would be easier than the old plastic ones I lost. Thank you and good luck to everyone who enters.

Carole Maynard

my granddaughter has recently started making beaded items on a very small, not too sturdy beading loom. she does very well on it and i can see where she has the potential for color and pattern as a possible weaver. i would love to have her show me how to do this type of "weaving" and in return introduce her to my cloth weaving efforts. if we had the mirrax to share, we both might find yet another "textile" medium.

Sheila Cach

I love anything that goes over and under. Sometimes I sit in church, shred the bulletin and weave it into assorted designs. I have never heard or seen this little mirrax loom. Therefore , I am sooo interested in what this little thing will do. I have a ridged loom and spinning wheel that I have bought from you Woolery people. And love them both. Please pick me to win the little loom. I hope I spelled it right.

Thank you
Anne McBride

I've never woven beads, though I'm involved with so many different crafts. I was sick from a very early age, and am amazed that I'm still here at nearly 60, so I spent a lot of time at home, making things.

I recently spent an afternoon watching someone weaving beads totally by hand, which floored me. I think a loom makes much more sense! I'd love the opportunity to try this, because the results are so spectacular.

Regards,
June Geraci

I would be so elated to own a Mini Mirrix Loom as it would fit very nicely into my jewelry making capabilities and I also made my first beaded bracelet as a child on a small loom. I currently do all my beading using the off-loom bead weaving techniques, which I taught myself earlier this year I absolutely love creating my jewelry pieces with needles and Fireline beading thread, but the Mini Mirrix Loom would give me the opportunity to combine my love of fiber and rug hooking skills into my jewelry on a new level and create many pieces in a bit less time. The wonderful portability feature of the Mini Mirrix Loom would work so nicely for me as I plan to teach both bead weaving techniques and this would make it so easy to do so. I will have the venue for teaching classes after the first of next year and would like to add the loom weaving classes to teach others as soon as I teach myself, and the Mini Mirrix Loom will allow me to travel easily to different class locations in the future. The Mini Mirrix Loom is also a good teaching size so that students can purchase their first special loom and then they can nicely move to a larger loom when they fall in love with weaving for life. Thank you for the opportunity to win your wonderful Mini Mirrix Loom.

Sincerely,
Angela Rose

I just spotted your contest, and hope I'm not too late to enter. I have been eyeing your beautiful looms for close to a year now, but with a daughter in a private college in Massachusetts, you can guess where my money has been going. And she's my priority, so my desire to branch into bead weaving has been pretty much shoved to the back burner. I have always had a love of beads and of looms. When I was in high school, my closest friend and I built a giant loom with 2 x 4s, and I wove exactly one small blanket/rug. I think that most of the fun was working together on that loom, but it definitely sparked an interest in weaving. That interest has been simmering for years, only to be nudged into awareness when I started seeing the Craftsy classes on bead weaving. The cuffs and other bracelets are beautiful, I have plenty of beads, and now I need the loom. I'm reluctant to spend almost as much on an inexpensive loom, as I know from past experience that when I work with inferior tools I'll be frustrated and wind up with an inferior end product. So, I keep toying with that bead weaving class - maybe I'll buy it now, as it's on sale, and just hold off until I've rounded up a few dollars to buy a loom. And keep my fingers crossed that I will win the 5" Mirrix loom!

Thank you for your consideration,
Elaine Froneberger

I am sitting and drooling over the Mirrex looms at this very moment. I recently signed up for the Craftsy class and am in awe of the bracelets created using these looms. Being a fiber addict is not easy, as there are not enough hours in the day to create all of the ideas swirling in my head, as I'm sure you all understand. The Mirrex loom would easily become a trusty companion relied upon to produce many beautiful items. I am a part-time jewelry maker whose dream is to expand my design vision, and I believe I can by using the Mirrix loom.

Leslie Alt

What a great contest! I have been a bead 'stringer' for about 3 years and have made some really exciting & dramatic pieces—I especially love statement necklaces. But I am looking for the next step in creating beautiful things. And your loom looks like a wonderful way to achieve this
next step for me.

Love the Pastel Cuff Bead Bracelet on your website... I can see myself making purses as well as jewelry.

Love the fact that your looms are made in the USA!

Thanks for the chance to win!

Happy Holidays!
Nancy Ludvik

I would love to win a mini mirrix loom since I do most of my weaving on frame looms, and the small looms are great to use for accent pieces for larger projects.

I am beginning beading on a loom and this would be just wonderful.

Thanks for making this opportunity available.
Linda Nelson

I have wanted a mirrix loom for a long time. I was first introduced to them when a friend asked me to finish a beaded bracelet she had started. I enjoyed the process and would loved to have kept the loom but I think she would have noticed. It is an easy way to take your weaving with you. Something that appeals to me as larger looms do not travel so well.

Diane de Souza

I am 73 years young and am a: knitter, spinner and weaver that would love a bead loom. At present I add beads to a lot of my knitting..I belong to a large guild which encourages all forms of fiber art and would love to own one of your looms and do a class/program at our guild. I love the fact that it is portable, lightweight, and made in the United States. I make all my gifts and also live among the Amish, whom I am sharing my fiber arts with. You are never to old to learn new fiber arts. I also hope to have my Amish friends make me an "outdoor" loom out of twigs, which I would warp with twine...then weave tall grasses, feathers and shells etc....There is so much to create, there is not enough time in the day...My friend Dawn Buzzard told me about your looms.

thank you,
Annie Rozell

I already have a Big Sister that I love, actually my real Big Sister and the loom but I have some bracelet ideas that I would like to be able to work on wherever I am and the "Mini" would be perfect.

In Love and Light,
Rob Sadler

I love wearing and making bracelets. I would love to have a mini Mirrix loom because it looks like it would be the perfect size to pack in a suitcase when I travel. I would be able to pack a project to take on vacation...the idea of a chair by the sea, a cool drink and a beaded bracelet to work on sounds just about like beader's paradise to me. I know the mini loom will be just as well engineered and easy to use as the bigger model I currently enjoy using.

Thank you for the opportunity to win your loom.
Dawn Gray

Beads!! What tiny jeweled wonders that can be created just boggles the mind! I've woven on a table loom, things like practical place mats and a scarf, but my inner creative spirit just dances when I look at beads! Shiny, sparkley beads. I'll be 61 in a few days and I still am longing to play with jewels like a pirate. Working on a finely crafted Mirrix loom would make it a pleasure.

Sandy Luck

I am a beginner at making jewellery, this new passion is so full filling because I am making beautiful items that others are able to wear and enjoy for a longtime. My family has been very supportive at my new hobby, especially my husband. As I am a disabled person who has a hard time, because my hands do not work like they use to. So to win this mirrix loom would make the world of a difference to me and help me make more beautiful jewellery for people to enjoy. I am really wanting this cool 5" mirrix loom badly. I want to learn to do tapestry weaving as it looks so beautiful when a bracelet or a necklace is all complete. Weaving looks like so much fun as the results are totally stunning with beauty. I heard the control to change sheds, with the mirrix loom is outstanding. As to what I would weave? Well of course it would be beaded bracelets and necklaces using the best product around called the mirrix loom. I would also like to weave tapestries on it if I can. I really love your product. I am a disabled lady who loves new challenges and now if I win this, I would be soo thrilled to have a new amazing new tool to help me make gorgeous Jewellery for others to enjoy, as that allown would mean the world to me. I was not able to learn any of the weaving methods that utilized the any kind of looms. I have thought about taking classes to learn many of the newer skills in jewelry making, such as chain maille, and beading methods, as well as more advanced silversmithing techniques. But as I always remembered seeing others weaving rugs on their looms, and make gorgeous items. I have always been so fascinated the idea of weaving beads on loom. I heard about the Mirrix Loom online and thought I would look into your product,as the old wooden looms are not as superior to the Mirrix loom. I would like to use the Mirix Loom to weave some amazing jewellery, but also to extend my designs, and expand them to make them amazing that is what I would weave into my bead patterns. I would LOVE the opportunity to win a Mirrix loom. My goal in entering this great contest is not for my own benefit, but for my customers to experience new and wonderful new designs of jewellery. This loom would be used in helping myself ( being disabled) to help others learn how this new product can help them in bead weaving and other tapestry weaving techniques. I would also be able to teach children on how to weave and how full filling the experience would be for them. I would love to introduce bead weaving and tapestry, once I have learnt it better, so I can show others who would love to learn weaving and tapestry for them to have the same awesome experience I had using your wonderful product the Mirrix Loom.

Thanks very much
Christina Johnson

Shiny! The loom is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and it sparkles. I think this loom is destined to make shiny things and don't we all love shiny things? I had never seen this beautiful loom before this contest but would love to use it to make the world sparkle a little more. I have read the reviews and it sounds like it is a joy to use. So if I had this loom I would use it to make the world sparkle just a little bit more and don't we all love to sparkle?

I recently started weaving after caring for my terminally ill grandmother. I needed a quiet activity that allowed me to be creative, but could be put on hold at a moment's notice, as I tended to my grandmother's needs. My early attempts at weaving were pretty crude, using cardboard looms mainly due to time and expense. But I enjoyed the activity. My grandmother who was legally blind, enjoyed feeling the work and felt at ease that I was doing something creative. (She didn't like the idea that she had to depend on my help and always worried that she was a bother. She wasn't!) After my grandmother passed on, I have since been able to borrow a loom from a friend and I have been learning to weave tapestries. I have yet to buy my own loom but I am shopping around. I have seen the Mirrix looms and I am intrigued. Winning this contest would be a great way to test out the Mirrix loom and see if this is the loom I have been searching for. Weaving now is even more important to me because it keeps my grandmother close to me now that she is gone and gives me good memories as I weave.

Antony Galbraith

I have never used a loom and after a great deal of research and thought I decided a Mirrix is for me. I've sewn, felted, dyed, painted, embroidered and beaded. I decided to make my next adventure in fiber fun weaving. I love the sleek lines and look of the Mirrix. I also decided that since I enjoy working in a small scale that a tapestry/bead loom will be the most interesting to learn. I'm impressed with the amount of information on the website for the new and experienced user. I already have ideas for projects and am looking forward to exploring the world of weaving with a Mirrix.

Kay Brennan

As a child in Canada, I watched my grandmother hook rugs, spin, and weave. I took up her rug hooking, and now am thinking of the weaving.

Barbara Whitewater

I need a loom to make beautiful gifts for the special people in my life. I've tried making my own loom but the quality of work will does no justice compared to a MIRRIX. I live on a native reserve and they know their beading....I couldn't possibly get away with cardboard box weaving! I plan on spending the next year making gifts for all the woman in my life who have inspired me. I'm going to have a terrible crick in the neck if I continue hunched over this cardboard box, which is why I need a MIRRIX loom because I can hang it upright! I don't own a MIRRIX yet, but I know someone who does, and I know they love their loom so much I wouldn't even bother to ask to borrow it! I'm also work at a daycare at an aboriginal school and would love to inspire aboriginal culture in whatever ways I can. Thank you for your vote!
Sincerely,

Chandra Ruck

I want to learn and take your class on-line at Craftsy on bead weaving. I want to use this loom to make the same beautiful things I have seen you make. I want to tell everyone where I got my start on bead weaving. I think as a knitter and a beader I could learn to bead weave easily and with your help this could be the best Christmas gift ever. I thank you for your contest and I hope I win.

Elsie Pacheco

What an exciting well designed piece of equipment for weaving beads or fibers! I had never heard of these looms but ran across an ad in a Woolery email, visited the website, read How tos, and watched videos until the wee hours when my eyes crossed. It is important to me that these looms are built in the USA! . My freehand beadwork is frustratingly impossible due to loss of feeling in my hands, particularly fingertips and loss of fine motor control and nerve damage after being diagnosed with MS a few years ago. Those little seed beads can be ridiculously hard to find when one cannot feel them. As my husband and I plan on RVing in our retirement, I could use this small sturdy tensioned loom for beading or making inkle style bracelets and small tapestries, while he goes off to play golf. The Mirrix Loom would be a perfect size for small space in RV and great for rehabilitation of my hands. Beading would be a welcome alternative to endless knitting, and so much cooler in the summer. On second thought, I would give the contest loom to my good friend who is trying to convince me to bead again. She would love it! I'd buy an 8" one for myself. Please enter me in the contest. Cheers, Jessica.

Hello,

Why do I want to win a mini Mirrix loom? This feels strangely like trying to win an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle! And NO, I won't shoot my eye out! I am not kidding when I say I woke up one morning and thought I want to create something beautiful and I don't want to knit it, embroider it, paint it, hook it, etc. Then I remembered when I was a little girl and I had received a rigid heddle loom for Christmas. Oh I was so excited, I could not wait to use it! I warped it ( I guess) and started in ernest to weave and it was such a failure. The yarns got bogged down and the heddle plastic was snagging and eventually one broke, utter disaster. So when I woke up and wanted to create something beautiful I immediately typed in weaving looms! I scoured the net, got books from the library and watched many a youtube video watching the gals from Mirrix and other people showing ways to use these fantastic looms. There are so many great video's and really inventive people showing all the different things you can create and how to create them. Don't get me wrong, I watched many a video on other looms too but there is something about the Mirrix loom, the way it looks just spoke to me. I understand how to use it. Oh and when you purchase a loom it actually comes with everything you need, that is just crazy talk! So, I woke up one morning with a need to express myself and I believe I have found a way in tapestry and beads. This is why I want to win a mini Mirrix loom.

Nicole Hornsby

This Summer, I had a horrible head injury that left me with the use of only my left side of my body (sorry for any typos, I am of course using one hand). I used to bead, crochet, you name it. Now I just touch my fibers and sigh sadly. This would be such a help with my rehab and I could actually get to "play" with my beloved fiber and beads...which I do not think the therapists realized were so important (as I was recovering, and coming out of my fog, they asked me what I liked to do and the first thing I said was beading and fiber!). I would like to share this art with my family and this machine would allow me to work with one hand. I have been a proud silly woman for so long, and now I am going to take a chance and see if the kindness of strangers could help me.

Bless you all.

A Mini Mirrix is my dream
For weaving like you've never seen
With little beads upon the loom
Some magic sparkle coming soon

For beads are my indulgent pleasure
The Mini Mirrix, hunted treasure
For in England grey and gloom
The Mirrix lightens up my room

So come on beads and loom combine
Make my beading become divine
My little desk with beads and braid
with shaking hands am I afraid

Fear not say angels shining light
With golden treasure shining bright
My Mini Mirrix hoping soon
Will brighten up my beading room.

Caroline French.

My love of bead weaving began as a child. Last year I was excessed from my job of twenty-three years and found my self with a lot of time on my hands. My sister was trying to cheer me up and she asked me to remember what I loved to do as a young woman, before having a family of my own and becoming lost in the swirl around me. The first thing that popped into my head was my first "Indian Bead Loom" that my father bought me as a child. I remembered him sitting with me for hours to help me learn how to use the bead loom, and we made a bracelet together. I found myself buying that same toy loom for myself, at age fifty-eight, and began to make bracelets for my grown boys with sports logos, and assorted other little projects. Last month my niece was home for a short while from her overseas job. She loves anything with lips on it, and I found myself making a bead pattern on graph paper to make her a little tiny purse with lips before she left. I was growling at the toy loom, trying to get the tension right, and becoming increasingly frustrated. My husband walked by with a passing chuckle and said, why are you still playing with that toy?! This added to my tension, and caused me to do the obsessive research I am "famous" for (LOL) and I believe Mirrix Looms are the Cadillac of looms. I am certain it would relieve all the tension I experienced over the tension, and I would not consider purchasing any other loom when I am in a position to do so. It would make me feel like a kid again to win this contest and have an adult loom to play with. We will make beautiful pieces together if given the opportunity for a "play-date."

I would like to win the Mini Mirrix to give to my daughter as a gift. She is an artist, who is currently a devoted stay at home mom of a 7 year old, and a rambunctious not quite two year old. It's difficult to have a creative workspace set up that is both safe for and from a two year old. This is what I like about the Mini; it is so compact, it holds your work in place, it's portable. Having a creative outlet is important for all of us, it's just more difficult with little ones. I know it would be good for her soul, and a happy mom makes for happy kids!

I would love to win a Mirrix loom. I am a knitter and I knit bracelets with beads. I have been wanting to venture into the weaving arena to make my bracelets and the Mirrix is a natural place for me to start. Many moons ago I was introduced to weaving and loved it. For some reason I was not able to continue this love. I am now at a place where I can get back to weaving and to be able to start back up with a Mirrix is a dream come true.

Although I have never owned a Mirrex, I have gazed longingly at them every time, I see one, either at shows or workshops. Or hear a friend talk about how much they love theirs . I am a tapestry and bead weaver and I have always wanted to try one. At present I always have a large tapestry on my wonderful Glimackra Regina, and another either small tapestry or peyote beading project going. I have never had the opportunity to bead weave on a loom. I weave my small tapestries on either a homemade pipe loom or loom made from a wooden stretcher frame. Because I weave full time my resources are very small, and all my funds seem to be spent on yarn. I can assure you if I win this loom it will get lots and lots of use.
Thanks for considering my entry

I bought a Ridge heddle loom from The Woolery when my granddaughter was 4 years old . I purchased the loom for two reason, I want something that my granddaughter and I could do together and I wanted something to help my granddaughter find contentment. Even though she was only 4 she worries. The loom has been very positive for her. Her gift of putting colors together has won her special premiums at our county fair. My granddaughter is 8 years old , she still worries, but she has become a very good weaver and we have spent many hours of quality time together.
So now for the reason I would like to win the Mirrix. My granddaughter loves jewelry and this would be one more way to encourage her weaving skills and her gift of color placement. The reason I want it to be Mirrix, is its quality, the first loom I purchased for my granddaughter and I was a small jewelry loom from a hobby store to make the story short it did not work. Merry Christmas PS. I bet we could also make some awesome Christmas ornaments.

Oh, CRAP!!! Why did I not know this delightful tool existed before.... Before I got to be 67, before my income got broken, ( it certainly is NOT fixed)? I want one so, so badly and just know I can't spend that much. I have all the beads, fibers a person could need for at least two lifetimes so all I would need is the Mirrix. Please vote for me and change this Maxine to one happy "old fart". Keep creating.

I read so many wonderful stories from others that wanted the Mirrix Loom! I cannot hope to outdo the creativity or interesting stories offered!
I can only say that I believe that looms should be heirlooms, that the act of weaving puts a bit of the weaver into it, and the loom becomes a part of their life... Many looms made today could never fill this place as they are not made to last! Not so with the Mirrix products! My 13 grandchildren would argue over who would inherit it =) and one day THEIR grandchildren would use the same loom that I shared my spirit with.
THAT is why I would love to win the Mirrix loom!

I would be so pleased to win the mini Mirrix loom. I have wanted to try them for some time now. I teach young people (and a few adults :-) how to bead and weave at schools, museums, pow-wows, etc. I do a majority of this on a volunteer basis so funds are extremely limited.
As luck would have it, I recently signed up for a class using this loom at Craftsy. I'm familiar with looms but this unique design has me very intrigued. It seems it would be much easier to warp and easier to hold. I would love to try this loom. I look forward to receiving your newsletters. Thank you so much for your consideration and to The Woolery (my favorite loom store :-) for offering this contest.

I've done every craft and have taught myself. This is the only craft worthy I have yet to conquer. I'm old and not afraid to try new things. This would be my dream to have this and learn a new craft. Oh, won't you please consider me ? Blessings this season.

Would truly appreciate being able to win the Mini Mirrix loom! Have tried bead weaving in the past and found it to be fascinating but at that time, it was difficult to find the time to do much weaving. Now, as a senior citizen, I have arthritis that limits my activities to the point I can no longer do much of the the things I once enjoyed, including rug weaving. I feel the Mini Mirrix loom would offer an interesting activity that I would be able to enjoy. It also appeals to me since living space would not be a problem as it is for many at home hobbies. Please consider helping me to win the Mini Mirrix to bring a new interest and pleasure to my daily life.

I have always loved the texture that created by weaving but never knew there were smaller professional options. I thought my only option was the craft kids version. I discovered Pinterest last year and came across a beautiful weaved bracelet. Upon further research I was taken to your website. I was blown away with the looms and the portability they offered. I have had my eye on purchasing one since. Once again, however, I was overwhelmed with the options. Since I couldn't fit one in my budget I kept the loom on my wish-list.
I recently gave up my sewing room to my youngest daughter and found myself "displaced". I create out of the living room which is cramped so I don't sew or create as much as I used to and I miss the peace creating brings me. Owning a Mirrix loom will allow me to create portable jewelry projects that I can do while watching tv, in the car, or at work. I could also teach my daughters and hopefully upgrade the size in the future.

Peace & Blessings,
Michelle Jackson

My mother made beaded flower arrangements in the 1970s. She stopped making them due to arthritis in her hands. I sewed, knitted and crocheted but never really got into beading. In 2004, when Hurricane Charley badly damaged my parents' home, I found a box full of beads and tools that she had used to make her beaded flowers. I had no idea that she had such a stash. I have used some of the beads to add to my quilts. I would love to win a loom so that I can make jewelry using her beads for gifts to my sisters and cousins. I learned about Mirrix looms from a project post to Craftsy for the bead and tapestry cuffs class.

I took a Craftsy class on making beaded bracelets, saw the gorgeous Mirrix loom, & was hooked! I do not yet have one, & time is of the essence. I have macular degeneration & will have to learn while I can still see. The rocks, stones, & jewels accumulated through the years can help others to a better life. I plan to create beaded bracelets & bookmarks & donate my proceeds to Heifer International. It's time for the next step in my life. Good idea? I think so.

I would love to enter the Mini Mirrix contest! I have recently bought 2 Mirrix looms and am in the process of learning to weave. Although I have been a knitter, crocheter and cross stitcher, I am always on the lookout for new, exciting things to learn. I had never thought about beading, as I personally am not a jewelry person, but fell in love with the idea via the Craftsy class and am now hooked! (or should I say woven?), lol. I like that beading and tapestry is actually an art form, and like performing the fine motor skills needed in bead/tapestry weaving. I am also finding that the continued use of my hands in this new way has been helping with the beginning stages of psoriatic arthritis that I've been recently diagnosed with in my fingers. And so, a new beader/tapestry love has been born!

Thank You,

Abbe King :)

My name is Donna and I am a kindergarten and first grade teacher in north west Wisconsin. I also am a caregiver to my parents. My mom is in the nursing home with Alzheimers and dad lives alone. I have a 36" floor loom but busy days hasn't allowed much time for weaving. I am hoping to get a portable loom I can take with me to school and the nursing home. Fiber arts is a passion for me and a mini loom would be another way to share this pasttime.
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

I would like to win the loom because i like beading, i like weaving, and i like tapestry.
i started this type of craft by first learning to macrame, and used beads making plant hangers and beads. Then used fine cording and beads for jewelry
Now i have an alpaca farm and am learing fiber arts.from start to finish. Raising alpacas, shearing and then procesings fiber for spinning , wet felting, knitting and weaving.
I am also a stained glas artist, and can combine all of these things i love to do
we have an ashcraft loom, this would make a welcome addition to FIBER TOOLS.

I am very interested in owning one of these intreging Mirrix looms!! A friend of mine in the New Orleans area highly recomends this loom so I thought this contest would be a great opportunity to get one.
I started bead weaving on the small plastic craft bead weaving looms and I am hooked on the beading, but feel limited in what I am able to create at this time. I want to go beyond the simple patterns I have done until now and I believe the Mirrix Loom will allow me to farther experiment and expand my skills so as to create better pieces of art jewelry and even beaded tapestries using hand spun silk fibers and a variety of found objects. There is great potential for sculpted 3 dimentional designs and this loom will not limit me in the width of a finished piece.
I like the fact that the size of this loom will make it so easy to bring everywhere I go and be able to teach others about beading even when I am in the Doctor's waiting room!! My little sister is always wanting me to teach her about different weaving things and this will allow me to help her acheive her Special Needs Goals that have been established for her. I can see her weaving on one of the larger looms and being able to experience what she has only seen me do!
Thank you for the opportunity to enter this contest.

I would love to win the mini mirrix loom. I was at the Kid n Ewe fiber show in Boerne, TX and saw a display from one of the vendors and absolutely fell in love with it. I bought my husband one and am very envious of it. I would love to have one of my own to play with, but due to money constraints I could only afford the one. We have both tried the regular beading looms and they cannot hold the tension like the Mirrix and I soon gave up on it. I love how sturdy they feel and the tensioning nuts! Just a very well thought out and put together loom. I can see these looms going from me to my grandkids one day.

Hello,
I'm semi-retired and excited to learn new crafts. I've always admired hand woven garments and beaded jewelry made on a loom, but have never had the time to learn this skill. In fact, I asked my husband to buy me a hand-made scarf for a Christmas present this year. I know that Mirrix Looms are just the best quality and that they are made in Wisconsin...where I was born and raised (so they have to be the best). I would love to become one of your customers and hope that Santa will grant my wish to win this loom.

Nancy Johnson

To weave or not to weave is easily answered by addressing the issue of the loom one uses. I've tried other jewelry looms without much success so I am dreaming of being able to try a Mirrix. Wish me luck!

Thank you for the opportunity to win a mini Mirrix loom. I am so excited, just thinking about it.

I have always done some type of craft, usually with cloth or yarn: sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlework. That was until my twins were born. Long awaited bundles of joy and love, yet that left little time for me to be creative with textiles. Finally when they were 4 yrs old, I needed to get my hands being creative again (beyond hemming pants). I turned to jewelry-making with metal and wire, porcelain pieces, lampwork beads, and seed beads. How fun! But as I look as my stash of yarns and fabric, I feel the pull of the textiles. I have signed up for the Craftsy course with Claudia, and I am dreaming about the Mirrix looms. To win the 5" loom would be wonderful to be able to have a portable one to take with me to soccer practice, and piano lessons. I would love to share it with my father who got a college certificate in textiles, and had used large looms. Wish I had it to take with me tomorrow for a visit with him tomorrow. I have to go watch the Craftsy lessons again; I am getting excited about your beautiful looms again. Love watching that larger one in action with Claudia who makes it seems so easy and beautiful to use. Will have to save up for a larger one, for sure.

I am so excited to have found your website, because I so want to create beautiful Tapestry Cuffs and more with the Mirrix Loom, using the embroidery threads and beads i inherited from my mother and she from her mother, that they used to make Spanish and Mexican dancing costumes.

I have been following your news letter for way over a year and I love reading about the different stuff your followers are making. I have a simple loom that I have used since I was a young girl but it is not way as nice as a Mirrix Loom. I am teaching my Granddaughter how to use the loom and it sure would be nice to have a better loom to teach her on. I live on disability so buying a new one is out of the question right now.

As a child I was given a simple bead loom as a gift from my great aunt. I taught myself how to do basic work on it and loved beading! Time only knows what happened to the loom of my childhood, but seeing the Mirrix loom rekindled the excitement in me to pursue this craft further. I recently discovered an amazing bead store within miles of my home through one of my daughter's teachers. It would seem the fates are combining to get me back to bead weaving. Winning the amazing Mirrix bead loom will make that all possible. Thank you for the opportunity!

Sincerely,

Holly Bell

My husband gave me a mirrix loom for Christmas this year. After viewing the website, I can't wait to put it together and start a
project. My first try will be placemats.
I would like to have a mini mirrix loom for when we travel. We go to a town 110 miles from home for medical treatments every
6 weeks. It would be fun to take with me to the motel to make the time more productive.
I am thinking I am going to love using this loom. We raise Alpacas and I have heddle looms, triangle looms, rectangle looms and big
floor looms, but had never seen one of the mirrix looms. I can't wait to get it warped !!!

Thank you so much

Years ago I enjoyed using a small plastic bead loom while getting through a painful life situation, and recently found the very old loom hiding under some supplies and remembered how calming and enjoyable loom beading was. I spend a great deal of time with two elderly parents both with dementia, and would love the great little mirrix loom (not in my budget to purchase) to use while supervising my folks and as a source of enjoyment and Calm....I would like to learn this craft well enough to promote, possibly teach to other people looking for a meditative craft filled with unlimited color and joy.

thank you. Carrol C

I would LOVE to win a Mini Mirrix loom. I have been weaving off and on for several years, and have owned several looms. I owned a Mirrix a few years ago, and sold it to a friend of mine. Many times I've wished that I still had it - but I have other tapestry looms similar in size, so I just can't bring myself to buy another. However...the mini would be a NEW size of loom, and I would be so happy to welcome a Mirrix back into my world.

I really enjoy the sturdy construction of the Mirrix loom, and the shedding device on the larger looms is fantastic. Using springs for warp spacing is wonderful, too. I like the looms for how easily they stand up. And if (gasp!) it gets knocked over or bumped into, no harm done.

Claudia created a wonderful loom for bead weavers and tapestry weavers a like. I hope I get to be the lucky winner of a new loom! What a great way to start the New Year.

Thanks for considering me -
