Weaving Inspiration Abroad: Morocco

I just got back from a trip that included six wonderful days in Marrakech, Morocco. The city is filled with color and patterns like nowhere else I've been. Even our modest riad was filled with design touches that made anywhere I've stayed or lived in the States seem dull. Why are my walls WHITE when the could be covered in colorful tiles? I have no idea. And the doors and windows... oh those doors and windows!

The gardens we visited, too, were filled with color I wanted to capture and take home with me.

And then there were the rugs. Oh the rugs! I wanted to take them all home.

I'd write more... but I all this inspiration means I am seriously craving some loom time!
